How Not to Advertise on the Internet

I came across some ads presented on YouTube for games my youngest granddaughter asked me if she could play. It turned out what was advertised were mini-games that get unlocked after completing certain parts of the main game (an on-line game). A download, account set-up and constant Internet connection was required… as well as tracking al sorts of her activity. After telling her ‘no’, I reported the ad to YouTube (Google). The next time I saw that ad I noticed a disclaimer at the bottom advising this was an unlocked mini-game within the main game. However, all the rest of these “mini-games” are still being shown without any disclaimer. The company has not included any disclaimer on all their ads, but only those which get reported. :man_shrugging:
